Grad. SHAC: Student Health Advisory Council
Who we are:
The Student Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is an organization that serves as the student liaison to the Duke University Student Health Center (SHC). Graduate students can serve as representatives on this council.
What we do
- Insure quality health care services by voicing student concerns and interests to the SHC administration
- Listen to comments, suggestions, complaints, or compliments about student health
- Work to develop health policy, projects, programs, and improvements
- Organize and implement events on campus
- Influence health policy and procedure
- Give input into how health fee money is spent
Our goal
Improve Student Health services to best reach all students.
How to join/who can join
As long as you are a student at Duke University, you are qualified to join. If you are interested in joining, please contact Franca Alphin, the SHAC Advisor.
