Deatrice is from Durham, North Carolina.  She has worked at Duke since 1987, but came to Student Health in 2002.  Deatrice is married with one child and enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.  In her role at Student Health, Deatrice enjoys educating students about Student Health services and policies.  Deatrice enjoys caring for her dog, a Japanese Akita, named Jackpot.
