Freida began working in the Duke Student Infirmary in 1996, and then became part of the Student Health Center staff in 2002.  She has worked in various medical jobs for 28 years, after attending 3 years of business education at NCCU.  Freida served Durham County for 10 years working as an EMT with Durham County EMS, then worked in the Duke Emergency Department for 10 years, where she remains in their casual labor pool.  Freida is a "people person" and sees her primary role to be supporting the medical care and well-being of the students.
