Linda was born and raised in Creedmoor, NC where she continues to reside today. She has been married for almost 40 years and has one son, a daughter-in-law, one daughter and a precious grandson. She earned both an Associate Degree in Recreation and her CNA from Vance Granville Community College. In 2000, Linda retired from John Umstead Hospital with 30 years of service. She started working with Interim in 2002 and was assigned to Duke Student Health that year. Linda started a full-time position at Duke Student Health in November of 2007. She is glad to make the switch from working with an elderly population to working with Duke students. Here, she feels she can really make a difference. She believes one of the best parts of her job at Duke Student Health is meeting students from all over the world. Church is very important to Linda. She is a member of the Union Chapel Baptist Church in Butner. Additionally, she enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
