Lauren Johnson, MD is a Clinical Associate in the Department of Community and Family Medicine at the Duke University Medical Center. A Board Certified Family Physician, Dr. Johnson completed her undergraduate studies in Zoology at North Carolina State University. She graduated with an MD from the Medical school at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She then completed her residency in family medicine at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME, where she lived and worked in private practice until returning to NC in 2001. Dr. Johnson worked at the Alamance County Health Dept and at North Carolina State University Student Health. She has been at Duke Student Health since January 2006. Her areas of interest include women’s health, patient education and health promotion. Her interests outside of medicine include caring for her 2 small boys, camping and boating.
