Steve Taxman graduated from the Duke P.A. program in 1997 after completing a Master’s degree in archaeology at Arizona State University in 1990. He has worked as a PA at Duke for 9 years now, first for 7 years in the department of Nuclear Cardiology, then for 2 years coordinating the ENCORE study on the effects of DASH diet and exercise on hypertension. In his spare time he is the host of “This Week in Jazz” on Saturday nights on 90.7FM WNCU, and competes in crossword competitions. He is specifically interested in Cardiology, but is also interested in Men’s Health, Pulmonology, and Behavioral Medicine.
