Apple Bake
Ingredients
- 4 large red apples, cored
- 8 oz. can unsweetened, crushed pineapple
- 1 ½ tsp. cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. ground cardamom
- 1 ½ tsp. white sugar
- 1 Tbs. brown sugar
- 2 Tbs. walnuts, finely chopped
Directions
- Slice apples in ¼ inch pieces and layer in a 9-inch square baking pan.
- Drain pineapple, reserving juice, and evenly distribute pineapple over apples.
- Mix together cinnamon, cardamom, and sugars. Sprinkle over fruit then pour reserved pineapple juice over spices.
- Sprinkle walnuts over fruit and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve hot or cold.
