Nose Bleeds

What are nose bleeds caused by?

Drying of the nasal mucous membrane, trauma, localized infection, and high blood pressure can cause nose bleeds.

How is it treated?

Sit upright, lean slightly forward and pinch the nostrils for 5-10 minutes. Do not clear the nose by blowing or by removing the clots. Seek help if the nose bleed cannot be controlled by application of pressure as described.
