Student Health Center

The Duke Student Health Center: the primary care clinic for Duke students is located within the Duke Clinic in the Sub-basement, Orange Zone, and is accessible from a special entrance on Flowers Drive - across from Duke Gardens (see map below). Students are seen by appointment (681-WELL) Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (except Wednesdays, 9:30am-5:00pm). Parking for appointments at the SHC is available in the parking garage on Trent Drive in front of the Duke Clinic - please bring your parking ticket to the front desk when you check-out to receive a parking voucher.

For problems arising after hours, on weekends, and during academic breaks and holidays, students should call 681-WELL for health care options. In the event of an obvious life-threatening emergency, students should go directly to the Emergency Department (684-2413). If necessary, Duke Police (911 or 684-2444) will provide on-campus transportation to the Emergency Department.

Students are encouraged to use the Duke Student Health Center (681-WELL) as their portal of entry to other health resources when needed, including the specialty clinics at Duke University Medical Center. This will help with coordination of appropriate and cost-effective care.
