Stress management programming
Stress management programming is offered by a variety of presenters, including those from Healthy Devils peer educators, the Office of Health Promotion and CAPS (Counseling and Psychological Services). Below are some routinely available presentations. Programs can also be tailored to the interests and needs of your group. Be sure to request these programs well in advance, especially before the busy exam periods.

The Oasis
The Oasis, a part of Health Promotion, and located in Bell Tower Dorm on East Campus, affords you a wonderful retreat. We offer regular stress management programs as well as a quiet place to study, meditate, relax and destress. Visit The Oasis website for more information.
Achieving Life Balance
Don’t know what this means? This program is for you. Feel as if something is missing or find yourself saying “there has got to be more to life, than this?” This program focuses on what it means to have life balance, how to achieve it, and how an unbalanced life can lead to unhealthy coping mechanisms. This program encourages participants to look at their lives and begins a dialog about how and why one might wish to strive for balance.
Managing Stress: Taking Care of Yourself
The healthier you are, the more prepared your body is to manage stress. This workshop focuses on how alcohol and drug use, attitude, healthy eating, healthy relationships, money management, physical activity, sleep, spirituality, time management, and tobacco use can affect your ability to prevent stress and the amount of energy you have to handle stressful situations.
Mind/Body Connection: How Stress Affects Your Body
Stress is inevitable. However, we don't want it to control every part of our lives. In this program, participants examine how stress can affect us physically and emotionally, and identify the types of situations that create stress. This program also provides an overview of different skills and techniques that will help you manage stress more effectively.
Relaxation Techniques
Stress can help us stay motivated and active, but too much can overwhelm us. In this program, participations are lead through a series of quick relaxation techniques that can help to reduce stress and can be used almost anywhere.
Simplify Your Life
Living a simple life can help you manage your stress. You don't have to give away all of your electronic devices to live simply. This program helps you examine how you spend your time, decide what's most important, eliminate excess and set boundaries to avoid over committing.
Remove Your Clutter
Is your desk or closet riddled with clutter? Are you tired of junk mail and spam email? Removing your clutter can greatly reduce your stress. This program helps you develop systems to reduce clutter. You will learn how to organize your space, process and file important documents and eliminate junk mail and spam email.
